iBRIDGES has been instrumental in bringing together high-tech entrepreneurs of Iranian descent. This empowering initiative has successfully united high-tech entrepreneurs, fostering a collaborative environment for knowledge exchange, best practices, and innovative thinking.

Given the challenges faced by entrepreneurs who have left Iran to escape repression, iBRIDGES serves as a crucial conduit for them to connect, collaborate, and accelerate the growth of an "Innovation Economy" worldwide.

We are planning a conference in conjunction with Toronto-based Tirgan Festival on Jul 20-23, and the following is the tentative agenda:

Keynotes: Anousheh Ansari (CEO of Xprize), Kamran Elahian (High Tech Entrepreneur with 4 Unicorn IPOs) and Faraj Aalaei (Founding General Partner at Candou Ventures)

Panel discussion: Best roadmap for a newly arrived high-tech entrepreneur. What resources are available?

New entrepreneurs arriving in the West and aspiring to start their own companies are fortunate to have access to a wide range of services and facilities that can support their entrepreneurial journey. These resources provide guidance, mentorship, infrastructure, and networking opportunities to help them navigate the complexities of setting up and growing a business. Some of the key services and facilities available to these entrepreneurs include Incubators and Accelerators, Co-working spaces, Funding opportunities, Legal and Administrative assistance, Networking events, etc

Panel discussion: High Tech immigrant-friendly countries and what they offer.

Join our panel discussion on immigrant-friendly countries for high-tech entrepreneurs! Discover countries like Canada and Portugal that offer attractive incentives to attract and support tech talent in starting innovative companies. Canada, known for its Startup Visa program, provides expedited immigration processes, access to funding, and a welcoming ecosystem. Portugal offers attractive tax incentives, grants, and a thriving tech community, making it an enticing destination for entrepreneurial endeavors. Explore these countries and more, as we delve into their initiatives that foster innovation and empower immigrant entrepreneurs.

Panel discussion: The ins and outs of raising money these days: What qualities do VCs look for in a founder?

Unlock the secrets of raising capital in today's business landscape with our insightful session on "The Ins and Outs of Raising Money." Discover what venture capitalists (VCs) seek in founders as they consider investment opportunities. Learn about the qualities that capture their attention, such as a compelling vision, strong leadership skills, market understanding, and a scalable business model. Gain valuable insights into the funding process, investor expectations, and strategies to secure the financial support necessary to fuel your startup's growth.
